The three reasons your hair can't grow longer

If you've been wondering how to grow your hair longer and keep it looking healthy - let me share a little secret: it all about your routine, and it starts even before you even step into the shower.

Hair longevity - that’s the real goal when you want to grow your hair longer. It means giving your hair the best possible chance to stay strong, thick, and resilient so it can grow longer over time.

So why does hair stop growing past a certain point? It often comes down to three things:

  1. Genetics (which will control how long your hair's growth phase lasts,
  2. Breakage, and
  3. Scalp health.

While we can’t change genetics, we can absolutely influence breakage and scalp health, and that’s where the magic happens.

Start with brushing. Most people are surprised to learn we naturally shed up to 150 hairs a day. Brushing helps remove those loose strands and stimulates circulation in the scalp, which is essential for hair growth. But here’s the key: always brush before washing when hair is dry and less fragile, and clears the loose hairs out of the way so they don't cause tangles and knots when shampooing.
