What temperature does Hottie protect against?
Hottie has been independently tested to protect hair up to 230°C (450°F), the highest setting on most professional straighteners and curling tongs. In lab testing, treated hair showed 87% less breakage and fragmentation after 80 passes of a straightener at 230°C, compared with untreated hair.
How do I use Hottie?
Spray onto clean, damp hair (towel-dried) about 6 inches from the head, working section by section from mid-lengths to ends. Comb through to distribute evenly, then heat style as normal. One light mist per section is enough.
Will Hottie weigh my hair down?
No. Hottie is a lightweight, fast-drying mist designed to be invisible in the hair. When used as a part of heat styling program the lightweight formulation leaves no build up on the hair.
Is Hottie suitable for coloured or bleached hair?
Not just suitable, it's a must! In clinical trials, Hottie showed a increase of 12% in colour retention after 12 washes than untreated hair, and showed 57% less breakage on bleached samples. Heat styling and colour-treated hair are a difficult combination, and Hottie is formulated specifically to protect both.
How does Hottie fit into the rest of the GF Fabulosity haircare range?

Is Hottie Silicone-Free?
Our shampoos and conditioners are, and always will be, completely silicone-free. The reason for that hasn't changed: traditional silicones in cleansing and conditioning products coat the hair and build up wash after wash, masking its true condition.
Hottie is a different category of product. A heat protector has one job, and that is to put a real, measurable barrier between your hair and a 230°C straightener plate. To do that job properly, and to do it without weighing fine hair down or building up over time, we chose two specific modern silicone technologies: Polysilicone-29 and Silicone Quaternium-18.
These are modern engineered silicones, specifically designed to form a flexible, breathable film on the hair, then wash out cleanly with your normal silicone-free shampoo.
Unlike the heavy silicones found in other haircare, these have been designed specifically for thermal protection, and prefer to bond to damaged areas that need protection rather than coating the whole strand.
The result is a heat protector that delivers lab-verified protection up to 230°C while keeping hair light, weightless and free from the silicone build-up cycle.
